Being Lazy and living with someone who is not is..interesting.

The boyfriend just doesn't understand why I play the Sims2 before I do laundry, or anything productive that I need to get done. In his eyes, do the work first and then enjoy the rest of the day.

But...I'm...Lazy. I don't even want to get the things done, I just know I must. So, I prolong it as much as I can. I mean, the Sims need to be played, don't they? Or Livejournal, that friends list is not gonna get read by itself!

I know that this doesn't make any sense to people who "get stuff done". People who don't procrastinate, I commend you.

Joggers and people who actually get up extra early to exercise...I just don't understand. More power to you though, I'd rather watch E! True Hollywood Story of The Real Word (oh that puck...) and eat Wheat Thins. Same goes with obsessive neat freaks. I like my place to be clean but I definatly don't enjoy cleaning the toilet and dread the bathroom cleaning day.

I am envious of these people, I wish it'd rub off on me because the 4 soda cans in the living room need to be thrown away. But...instead I'm going to read blogs and drink ANOTHER diet coke.

In the end does it really matter if you kept the toilet clean? Is your measure of life, or the afterlife going to be how many cans you left on the coffee table? Probably not :) it's going to be measured by the friends you made, and the things you learned. Even if it includes The Sims. :)

Whenever I wait until I've gotten all my work done to do fun stuff, it's always a letdown. The fun stuff isn't nearly as fun as it is when you aren't supposed to be doing it. In college when I'd be sitting in the library with my laptop working on a paper that was due the next day, I had almost no games on it except for Minesweeper and Solitaire. But Minesweeper became the most exciting game imaginable. I couldn't pull myself away from it. To this day I don't think I've ever played it unless it was keeping me from doing something productive.

Oh my God Elizabeth! I so understand you. I'm exactly the same. I don't think we can change. I wish we could, but I really think that we can't. LOL! When I was in school I was always waiting at the last minute. If we had a term paper that I had 8 or even 10 weeks to do, you can bet that I was starting it 2 or 3 days before the due date. Everytime I would say to myself that I would never wait like that again, and everytime I would procastinate. Now I work from home and it's the same friggin' thing. :-(

Oh well...

LOL. You sound so ME. Except for the exercise thing. I'm up every morning at 5:30am to do my daily walk. I find that if I just drag myself out of bed and start walking, my walk is half over before I'm actually awake. And being 30, well, not so healthy living catches up - and if I don't find myself attractive, then why the hell should anyone else? LOL
